Let's have seconds of 1 Samuel, shall we?

For this week, we are blessed with reading 1 Samuel 15; 16; 17 (David vs. Goliath!); 24; 28; 31.

**Scheduling conflicts seem to be our new motto. How is everyone's schedule looking for this Saturday? Please reply with your timeframe for meeting this week.

David vs. Goliath has a lot of life application, and can be seen in other areas of our life such as:

McDonald's vs. Lawsuit

and

Republican Primary vs. Hillary Clinton

respectively.

I was leaning more towards Marvel vs. Capcom myself.

But really, does David vs. Goliath have any application for us? This one takes a bit of thinking, but I'm certain it is there.

First of all, LOL.

Secondly, I have often heard David and Goliath broken down by pastors into a Sunday school truth of "God can do anything" but I get the feeling more can be gained from the context.

I have only just read it once today, so I want to study it more before I give my thoughts... God's word deserves much more than just a cursory glance.

Who are David and Goliath?
