We are going to try to finish up Genesis this week, and to do that we are going to break down a few things. The rest of Genesis focuses on the lives of Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. So what I'm going to do is break you guys up into groups of two, and each group will focus on one of the characters. You will be responsible for reading and knowing the chapters well, so that when we meet again you can help the other groups understand what happened in the chapters that had your character. I will post questions for each group as well. Below is a break down of the chapters in Genesis and the characters that are covered in those chapters (note: you will not have to read all the chapters I have below; tonight or tomorrow I will post the chapters you have to read, so don't stress out "Joseph group").
Isaac- chapters 21-26: Danny, Johnny
Jacob- chapters 27-36: Eric, Drew
Joseph- chapters 37, 39-50: Patrick, Richard
I will be in everybody's group :D

I think this is an awesome idea.
I'm assuming we should talk with our fellow group members throughout the week to share our thoughts.
On next Saturday, will each group just be responsible for summarizing what happened, or should we each be trying to consider deeper aspects, like what it's saying about God, or personal application?

Yes, I have Joseph to read. That's awesome. I'm glad that I have Patrick to read with, as well as going over the material. This will be interesting.
Well Patro, you will be responsible for a summary (but assume most of us have heard these stories before, or have a tiny inkling of what happenes) as well as the deeper aspects (what the different stories are saying/what they contribute to the Genesis story/etc.) and personal application would be nice. So yes to all. But I will be giving more specific questions as well. This will be sweet!!! Go God!!!
